cONTEST CLOSED Read for the Record
Ok, you know I’ve made that move to the big world of education. And, what I’m finding is pleasing for the most part. There are many many people involved on every level. Here are just a few places to find information about the Read for the Record campaign.
About Read for the Record: Jumpstart’s Read for the Record, presented in partnership with Pearson, is your chance to experience for yourself the importance of Jumpstart’s work in preschools year-round. Please join ONE MILLION children and us across the United States on October 8th, 2009. Together, we’ll read The Very Hungry Caterpillar – the 2009 limited edition campaign book, and help raise awareness of the importance of early childhood education.
Celebrities giving back to the kids! Tony, Golden Globe and Emmy award winning star Mary-Louise Parker and MTV’s The Hills star Lo Bosworth are teaming up with Jumpstart’s Read for the Record© campaign. Together, they are reading Eric Carle’s The Very Hungry Caterpillar – the 2009 campaign book. This will be a record-breaking celebration of reading, community service, and fun. Jumpstart’s Read for the Record will kick off on 10/08/09, on NBC's TODAY show in Rockefeller Center with Matt Lauer, Meredith Vieira, and more.
Participating is easy:
