From Poopy Diapers to Jock Straps and Hot Mommas

So there we were, strolling through the mall, baby in stroller, big baby bag filled with bottles and multiple pacifiers, diapers, wipes and more.  All the while, trying to find the Easter bunny.......for a picture....

and, the next thing I know, we are buying a j....j....j.....ock s....s....s...trap.......

Obviously there were a few years from one incident to the next but *ahem* I was really hoping that when the time came for my son to need a j...ock s...trap (hold me, I don't even want to say that), he would be able to go into a store and purchase it himself.

I played sports all my life.  I married a former collegiate athlete but never did I think that I...me...the mother.....would need to have that discussion with a child.  I mean, obviously that's why he has a dad right?

Wrong!

UH?

Ditto Boy is playing baseball and he is going to play catcher this year.  The coach let me know so that I, read that so that I (as in me, not his daddy, but me, I, the mother) could purchase the child a protective cup for his...for his...ahem...you know...the family jewels.....

There I said it!  How immature am I?  Geez!

This...I walked into a sporting goods store with pure embarrassment.  How old am I again I ask?  Five?  Geez!

Well, anyway, luckily there was a woman who appeared to be twice my age trying to decide which...ahem...protective gear, she would purchase.

And then...then it was my turn.  I need...one ...one of those.

What size?

UH?

Size?  What size?  Could this get any worse?  PeeWee or Youth?

I mean really, can you say I need a PeeWee Size cover for my son's WeeWee but I don't know what size PeeWee  he actually needs for his WeeWee........

Oh never mind... I can't do this...

I am a mom to two wonderful boys. They are my life. I needed a career where my kids could continue to be my life. We bought a daycare. Now, my boys and I spend all day together. Sometimes I need a mommy break, but mostly, I love it. I am definitely a mom who is focused clearly on her children. That's me, mom~e~centric.
