Ok, so Look, I’m apologizing now! Mom 2.0 Summit
Ok, listen…so here’s the real deal. I am a heifer. That’s about all I can say about it. I am a heifer. Yes, I totally berated those women last year for going to Blogher and talking about nothing but Blogher for days on end. And, then I went to Blissdom and I tried not to just blabber about it for hours on end and I put some of the posts out of sight just in case you didn’t want to read about it….and I apologized and ……
but holy crapolo…..I had fun at Blissdom and I met the most awesome folks…and now, I’m in Houston, courtesy of someone that asked me not to reveal them just yet…but I will, as soon as they give me the go. I spoke with the man, yea make that The Man tonight and so maybe it won’t be long…
In the meantime, holy moly people….I feel like a really teeny tiny fish (as teeny tiny as a 200 pound woman can be) in a GREAT BIG POND. I swear, I was star-struck when I met Tanis, and Allison (fussypants) and Casey and Jessica and and Jen Lancaster and Catherine (herbadmother) and so many other people at Blissdom.
And, then the kindness of Esther to allow me a place to lay my head. And, lo and behold, the Queen of Party (that’s me, in case you don’t recognize me) fiddle-farts around about going to the meet-up bash tonight…all in the name of finding something stupid that was stowed in my luggage and begging me to dig for it just a minute longer….and Dear Me…I was star-struck again. A rock star got on the elevator with me and I almost lost it. I swear, I made a total fool of myself.
I looked at this woman. I KNEW that face. I turned her badge over…and DEAR ME, THERE SHE STOOD. Y, yes, Y, yes JoyUnexpected was standing right the freak in front of me. Well, she was barely standing because I thrust myself upon her and yelled…loudly…OH MY GOSH, IT’S YOU, I DIDN’T KNOW YOU WERE GOING TO BE HERE.  As if, I mean, she totally works for Blogher and I totally work for….erm…no one, but anyway……she was here…and if you don’t believe me, just look….
And, if that doesn’t convince you….you know I want you to believe this bad or I wouldn’t be posting a photo of myself but…just look…..
Do I not look just as corny and stupid here as I did when I was so star struck by the ladies at Blissdom? (nod your head yes lest I have to go back and post those photos of me and all those great people again and ya’ll, I really don’t like the way I look in these pictures, but holy mother of Sequoia these ladies are for reals) Y, ya’ll Y is here! And that’s me, right beside her….look…totally a rock star…God I love her……and ….all these great folks and….I am so going to be a rock star one day and you, you will all put me on speed dial….. I know, I know, it’s not a rock star on speed dial but heck, IT COULD BE…if you just wanted me to be….I would be your rock star…..ok, never mind….

I am a mom to two wonderful boys. They are my life. I needed a career where my kids could continue to be my life. We bought a daycare. Now, my boys and I spend all day together. Sometimes I need a mommy break, but mostly, I love it. I am definitely a mom who is focused clearly on her children. That's me, mom~e~centric.
