Yikes!! Overkill!
I apologize for taking to whining here so often. But, the honest truth is, it’s all that seems to be pouring from my mouth. And, the thing is, things are pretty doggone good right now. I have taken on a lot of free-work and honestly, I am not so sure it was the smartest thing to do.
The thing is, it’s all going to pay off in the end. I do believe that good things come to those who put good things out there. Karma is a good thing you know……or it can be anyway……
With that, I’m doing a lot of work for my son’s school. And I was fortunate enough to be a guest at WordCamp Birmingham and was able to meet some great folks. One being, Ma.tt, if you do not know who Ma.tt is then you should definitely go see Ma.tt Mullenweg because he is “the wordpress guy”
I also met Brett Bumeter of SoftDuitMedia and he did an awesome presentation on Artisteer software so if you are creating a theme for your wordpress site, you are in business. And, a new release also allows you to do this for blogspot. All I can say is, if there is a Wordcamp anywhere near you, you need to go, get there one way or another. They are generally really inexpensive and they are all over the place. You can learn so much in a few short hours.
I know what I want to do but I am bogged down with school stuff so look for me to be trying out some of the good stuff next week. And, you know, when I try things out….sometimes they break……I’m just clumsy like that!

I really think you have a lot of potential. I remember thinking years back when more bloggers started turning pro that we would start to see a number of people like yourself that evolved from amateur writers and bloggers into pros and then evolved even further becoming business women and men taking charge in new media businesses. Blogging is proving to be a very interesting proving ground for new entrepreneurs and you are definitely on the vanguard of this movement in many ways.
