I’m confused as to which sponsor or product you would like me to link back to. I checked out stophomework.com and I must say that I think its poppycock. I’d love to delve a little deeper into the author’s reasoning behind some of her statements, but as far as I can tell, her logic is patently false. She probably needed to do a little more homework when she was younger.

Mike
There are other products that you can check out and link to if you wish to b part of the contest. However I think if you would read the book, and if you were that parent spending hours upon hours with children after school doing busy work, you would see this a little differently. I honestly do not mind my son having reading assignments, we are going to do that regardless because we always have. And, I don’t mind going over spelling words, but why ask I kid that can do work much above the rest of the classes skill level to do a bunch of busy work in the afternoons instead of letting him run and rip to release some of the energy that he has stored while sitting in a classroom all day.
My son gets in mild bits of trouble ever now and again and usually it is the day following when we’ve had to do a bit too much homework and of course days like Sunday which are filled with Church, Drama Practice at Church and then Back to Night Services. He did ok yesterday but having to come in and do homework last night wasting more of his play time, he ended up antsy and got in a bit of trouble today.
This in turn creates a never ending circle because when he got home from school, he was in trouble. So, he was punished and then he had homework and if I were not just a real hard-a$$ about the fact that my kids are going to get some play time, he would have had a completely miserable afternoon.
So, find a product and give me a link and then maybe read more on Sara’s thoughts. I actually have a post on her site. You can find it at http://stophomework.com/moms-and-dads-on-a-mission%e2%80%93rural-alabama/1484
Just give it a bit of a skim and let me know what you think.
