I don’t know how many of you know Katja, but her blog is Skimbaco Lifestyle and she is one smart lady.  Just look around the internet and you will find articles like this one from Yahoo called Katja Presnal masters online business world (after an 8-year career break. And after looking around you can find Katja Presnal on Savor The Sucess and The Digital Mommy gives you Katja Presnal in an interview.

In the meantime, while she is running around all over the place, Katja is running a contest on her blog.  She is giving away a ticket to Blissdom.  She sent me a tweet suggesting I enter and quickly explained that her topic “Living Life to the Fullest” was as far fetched of an idea as I could possibly come up with.  She disagreed.  Later, my husband made some pretty miraculous moves, as he always does and I just felt like writing about him.  I sent it to Katja and it’s on her blog now.  The contest doesn’t in for a couple of weeks.  And, the person with the most comments wins.  So, if you feel compelled, please, go read and leave a comment to help me win.  I Found My Reason is the name of the post.  Only if it pleases you though.

Secondly, a man named John.  And, to be honest, John was introduced to me before Katja but that’s the way my story goes.  He is a mover and a shaker and I promise you, that man is in more airports in a week than I’ve been in my lifetime.  Anyway, my husband and I play a great game of “Where’s John” basically just guessing where in the world that man can possibly be next.  He was kind enough to tell the world about our silly ol’ game.

Right now, I have a decided edge but I do miss his whereabouts on an occasion but when I miss…I have to be the one to fetch the drinks or find the ice cream for the nightly snack.  All in fun…and you can read about it on John’s site, Up in the Air

Also, I wrote a post the other day taking about a blogger who has been very influential to me and she has been so because she gave me a piece of advice last year on the first night of Blissdom.  I was having dinner with a group of women, most of whom I had no clue who they were.  And, one of them was Lori Falcon.  She writes at A Cowboy’s Wife as well as on her food blog and on the lifetime food channel.

She will never know how influential she was when she laid out this piece of advice to a group of women asking questions about how to jumpstart our blog careers.  Her answer was “just ask.  Before you make major purchases, ask the company about a partnership.”

And that was when I made my move.  Based off that one piece of advice, I had made my first contact and received a positive response by morning.

And, one more lady, Connie Foggles.  She interviewed me on Murray Newlands and in the interview she asks for me to recommend a few other bloggers.  I had read the interviews of others and most had listed 3 to 5 bloggers.  But, when I got to that point, I just went nuts.  There was so many people that I wanted to recognize.  And as it was, I still forgot a few.

But, that’s not my point.  I mean, I listed bloggers who have meant something to me.  I stopped when my brain got friend and the interview turned into a very long interview.  Anyway, the interview went live and Connie introduced me prior to the interview and what she said about me will forever ring in my heart.  This is what blogging is about for me.  I am proud that someone feels the way Connie feels about me.

She introduces me by saying this

Jerri Ann Reason is a woman who blogs and blogs. She isn’t afraid to share the spotlight either and was happy to recommend lots of other bloggers.

And just so you know, I don’t care anything about being the most popular blogger on the planet.  Do I want to be more popular than I am now?  Sure.  I want more opportunities to enjoy social media and enjoy doing what I love doing.  But, I don’t want it at the risk of another blogger.  So, for me, promoting you, you and yea you over there too is way more important to me.

I can’t thank Connie enough for that quote.  I will take that quote to bed with me tonight and it will dance in my head like sugarplums.  As a matter of fact, the next time you hear from me, I’ll probably be quite high on that quote which resembles a good piece of crack rock.

With that, it’s time for me to get myself in gear and start thinking about some sleep.  I’m headed to Nashville tomorrow for Social Fresh on Monday thanks to John Andrews and Collective Bias!

Hope to see you there!
