This is real story.  I would not make this kind of thing up and expect anyone to believe it.  But, wait, let me preface this by saying that my  mom and I have never really got along well.  I love her, she loves me, we just see the world from two very different views.  And on the whole, time spent with her has been more stressful than enjoyable.

But, she went to be with my aunt before Christmas and had only been home for 2 weeks until she came home this last time.  And, she is feeling better, Mini Me is going to daycare so she has some time during the day without him whining and slobbering all over her (yes I know he is 4 but he is whiney and slobbery and snotty).

Anyway, I told you about the itsy bitsy teeny weeny polka dot bikini story, tonight I can only have more.  We are having quite a time these days with no kids in our face interrupting us.

So, here goes the first one:

Mini Me:  mom, sing that song that nanny sings about a dogs tail

Ditto Boy:  yea, she said you knew but I told her I didn’t think you did

Me:  *smiling* because I have no clue what they are talking about, my mom makes up songs alot, so, I was quite confused.

Mini Me:  yes you do, Nanny said you did, you know that doggy with the waggy tail

Ditto Boy:  no it goes like this that dog with the puppy dog eyes

Me:  *aha moment* was it more like “How much is that doggy in the window?”

Unison:  Yea, that one sing it

Me:  I don’t know it.

**********************************************************************

Scene:  sitting in my family room, just my mom and I.  We are talking about all kinds of things.  We are talking about a variety of things that are going on and that have gone on.  And, my mother starts this sentence, “I’m not sure you remember this..but…..well…I went to Florida one time when I was pregnant with you……”

I interrupted her bellowing with laughter.  She looked stunned.  I said, “yea, if this happened while you were pregnant with me, I highly doubt I’m going to remember it”

More of the same all day every day  around here!  A laugh a minute!
