Otterbox, Otterbox, I got an Otterbox
Ok, so owning the fanciest automobiles or kitchen gadgets has never ever been that big of a deal to me. I mean, I like to know that when I get in my car, it’s going to go and not rattle down the road. And, kitchen appliances are all well and good and hey, I love my new washer and dryer but…phones, I’ve never really been that addicted.
When I picked out my first phone with a qwerty keypad over 18 months ago, I thought I was the da bomb. It wasn’t even one of the fancy band names but it was totally rockin’. Slowly I started to see other folks with phones cooler than mine and heck, I could upgrade I took the plunge. And, I Loved that phone. I knew of no one who even had one..not just didn’t have one in that color, but no one that I knew had even heard of the phone, never mind own one.
And, so, with that, the hottest, flashiest phone with internet, email, twitter, and qwerty keyboards were all the rage in my mind. But, did I want more? Nah, not really, I was happy with what I had.
And, then….I ran into a fairly large social media person or two at a conference in July of 2009 and they were sporting iPHones. Ah, but I had a great phone, who needed an “iPhone” just for the name, right? Besides, my husband is a big proponent of Microsoft, how would he feel about an Apple product.
And I waited, I twisted in my britches and I waited. Then, a buddy tells me “I’m at the store buying an iPhone”. And instantly, I knew I had to have one. But, not right that second, time would only tell. A mere week went buy and I started checking my account to see if I had a line I could upgrade. Boooyah! I did!
So, after having a procedure on both of my jaws and feeling like literal crap, my husband treated me to..yea an iPhone. And, immediately I was in love. I had already decided to get one and I was looking for the best cover so that when I did get my grubby (albeit clumsy) paws on one, I’d also be rocking in style with the cover.
The guy in the store did his regular sales pitch and then said, “well, if you are that clumsy, you are going to need a really good cover”. He started to open “the drawer” where these things were hid when I said, “Oh, I already have an Otterbox cover”. He shut the door and said, “good, because that’s what I was about to recommend, they are the best out there!”
Hey, what can I say, when you are a smart girl, you are a smart girl. Now, when you see me, looking at my phone and sliding pages across or up and down, just remember, I am really a plain Jane kind of gal…until jealousy sets in!
I as able to review the Otterbox Commuter in black (which is on my phone and looking good) and he Otterbox Commuter TL in blue…which…well heck, it looked good too, lol!
Aww come on, take one for the team… I want one of the Defender series covers too now…..
