Erm…anyone miss a girl around here?

Yea, bruises on my face after a round with some good drug….the happy juice as my doctor called it……there’s all the side effects, my face is bright red from the steroids, I feel like crap because I’m in pain and keep looking for medication …too bad I don’t have any happy juice at home.

However, the medication that he gave me happens to cause me to be so loopy, and in reality, just plain amnesia sets in.  It drives my mother crazy because it makes me crazy (I’ve taken it before and elected not to when it was being used for my back, it just makes me nuts- but my jaws hurt ya’ll…alot!), it makes my husband laugh and apparently I write some pretty nutty tweets and emails.

So, I think it’s just best that I didn’t post les you guys think I am a really big junkie.  In the meantime, I can’t help myself though, the pain is horrendous and at least the crazy drug keeps me from being in pain.  But, I can promise you, I won’t be taking this stuff long…I can’t stand not remembering what happened yesterday.  My husband’s joke is “have you been to sleep since that has happened?”  Because, honestly, once I take this stuff and go to sleep, everything is history.

Again, it’s probably best that I haven’t been posting….I’ll catch you up though in the next day or two…..because……my in-laws have been here too!

Do You Recognize This Lady?

mini-first page

I know you can’t read it but there’s one paragraph I’d like to re-publish for you…

“Reason (that’s me by the way) is careful to always provide a disclaimer for her thoughts when necessary”

So, if the FTC comes a ‘calling on me…I’m covered….hahahaha!  I had no idea that the reporter would take much notice of that part…

And, while I’m busy boasting…I want to let all my fellow women-bloggers out there know, I made sure we got a proper shout-out ….

“Companies have basically come to the point where they’ve said, ‘Women make a majority of the consumer decisions and we better start paying attention to them,’”

Hey Hey Hey, could that be any better?  Yes, this was a female reporter that interviewed me but still……we deserved that didn’t we?

If a link goes live of the article, I’ll be back to publish it….but for now…you just have to take my word for it that this was a good write-up about blogging, consumers, companies and not just a write-up about me.  Woohoooo!

And, if you wanna know more, yesterday was a photo of one of the teachers that has been on the receiving end of my Mom Max journey…

mini-IMG

And even though you can’t see that online or read it, I want to quote a bit from that little quip too….it goes like this….

“from local women in social media on behalf of A Day Made Better a nationwide cause founded in support of teachers by Adopt-A-Classroom and OfficeMax”

Do you see that “women in social media”

Pretty cool eh?

Oh yea and there’s this.……Collective Bias and Jay Thornton are my BFF’s right now along with Jennifer Cohron the author of the article above!

What’s Happening Now? As if you care, right?

Ok, so I know, I’ve been a bit scarce around here.  Don’t forget there is a contest for a Kix Cereal Prize Pack and it ends Friday night so don’t forget and get entered.

Blogalogues is moving right along quite well and we are having a good time over there.  If you are looking for information on all kinds of subjects, then that is definitely the place to find it.  If you have an anonymous stories you’d like to publish, that’s a good place to get it out.

Honestly, I’ve been snowed under doing all kinds of things over there and I have LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT.  In the meantime, I’m learning a few odds and ends about how to help out the parents and teachers at my son’s school.  I am going to teach a quick session on how to use the computer system to check out the students grades, assignments, homework and more.  It’s really easy and it has tons of great information to keep everyone on top of their game.

And, I’ve been updating a website that I created for the three teachers that teach first grade and of course there’s always the blog disaster that was 451 Press.  You can find the blogs that were formerly hosted over there at Education Uncensored and My TV Boyfriends now so don’t miss out.

Add in a trip to the ortho about my nice broken or not broken anymore but still hurts like crap leg and I am ready for physical therapy.  You know what that means…by September 1st I should be ready to work the 30 day Challenge and continue my fight against childhood obesity on Don’t Eat That

And, finally, there’s Jerri Ann where you will soon be able to purchase various ebooks and participate in webinars.  Oh and did I mention that I am going to be a moderator over at Today.com?

Yea, and there’s volunteering at school too.  And I dare someone to call me a slacker……bah!

So, what’s all the hoopla about?

I still have no internet, here it is Sunday night, and I was told I would have my service back by Tuesday evening.  GAH!  I am simultaneously tweeting on my phone, checking email on my phone and attempting to put together some coherent thoughts.  Good luck reading this one is all I have to say.

Actually, this will probably be revised many times before you see it, what with the internet situation and all, and since it is a huge announcement on my part, hopefully…I can get it right (and what else am I gonna do besides edit and re-edit, right?)

And, I had hoped to have a better grasp on the exacts of some of my upcoming projects but, as it is, I promised you information and I will give you what I can.

First of all, Mom~E~Centric is alive and well.  I am going to continue to bore you with trivial pieces of information about my children which is what this blog is essentially about….me focusing all of my attention on my children.  However, that focus had shifted and become painstakingly difficult as I attempted to spray myself in so many directions.  So, as per my husband who reminds me prior to ever conference I attend “do not come home with another blog” and ultimately in the past, I’ve done exactly the opposite; I did manage to go to Blogher and return home without committing to another blog.  As a matter of fact, conversations at Blogher were exactly what led me to believe that it is time for me to downsize.  Don’t forget you can always follow me on Twitter as The_Jerri_Ann

With that, I will continue to write reviews on the review page of this blog, I will continue to put some of the best stuff (can you say hello Frigidaire?) on the main page and I will continue to tell you about products I believe in and host contests with these products.

So for you, my readers here, nothing much will change except for maybe the quality of writing because more time means better quality, right?

I have plans, they look like this:

1.  dedicate more time to my most popular blog ever, TV Boyfriends This blog has proven time and time again to be a good place for me and I’ve managed to make a connection with a few of the “celebrities” that I have written about (you can see one of the in my twitter feed if you know who you are looking for).

2.  dedicate more of my time and feature the work of others on my Mom is Teaching Blog.  I want to start to focus on the education that I have, a B.S. in Education with a teaching certificate in Physical Education and a Masters in Counseling.  I am moving my focus from various other blogs to this one in particular.  We will see out that works out.

3.  launch and grow a group blog project called Blogalogues with other bloggers employing an ad network and building bridges

4.  make time to use my EASports Active 30 Day Challenge game to lose some weight (once my foot is properly healed) and I hope to join forces with the above not-named celebrity in a national agenda to fight childhood obesity.  I will be blogging all of this on Jerri Ann which is a blog dedicated solely to my 30 Day Challenge and will incorporate this new celebrity blogger (I hope, this is the part that is still a bit iffy….so just leave it at “if things go according to planned”)

5.  for financial reasons, I will continue to blog paid posts on my paid blogs, using celebrity gossip to fuel them.  I have to eat, I mean exercise, right?  I would venture to say that those are the least important to any of you anyway.

6.  use that hard-earned degree I mentioned above and teach online courses through vlogging and ebooks to those who are just starting to blog and need someone to hold their hand.  Along with this, I will become the Technical Instructor for the company that I am presently serving as the Virtual Assistant for.  This will require some of the time I have formerly devoted to various blogs of other niche’s.  I am going to teach, via vlogging and youtube, and ebooks, some courses in workshops all over the country and when I say all over, I mean like even in Alaska, how cool is that?

So, wish me well, know that my media site, Jerri Ann Reason will always house all of my online works and as soon as I have internet, it will be a home for some videos that I did with Ford, Mom TV, Girlfriendology and others just recently.

With that, all I can say is people, get used to hearing my southern slang because it’s gonna be IN YOUR FACE!

A Major Announcement of Sorts – Coming Soon – in the meantime…let me summarize…

Right now, my blogging has consisted of the following:

Jerri Ann Reason – a media site in which you can find all my internet work – which is ready to be updated with videos from The Juice, Girlfriendology, Disney, MomTV and more

Jerri Ann – my sparring with EASports 30 day challenge that I had hoped to start on August 1st…however, I have yet to be given clearance from my doctor to actually do more than physical therapy.

Mom~E~Centric – this blog which houses my thoughts on my family, my life, my blogging and the great sponsors who allow me to review their products

Michelle Obama Watch – a blog that I had high hopes for but I find myself so overwhelmed that I can’t seem to keep it up-to-date, don’t think I am not trying because I am, I really am.  I need to keep this blog moving so that I can continue to get assignments from some paying sources.  Right now, it is just really pushing me over the edge though.

Life in Reality – another blog that I put celebrity gossip on and use for paid posts.  I like to do this because that way the paid posts are getting attention because we all know that celebrities are on everyone’s watch list.  But, again, I’ve been a major slacker on this blog.

TV Boyfriends this blog has been my biggest success as I have received correspondence from some of the men featured on this blog and my intent is to continue to rock this blog’s socks off – if you have favorites, by all means, send me their names and I’ll feature them and you…

Mom is Teaching this blog was a homeschooling blog.  In the beginning none of the readers were very happy to see me, a former public school teacher who didn’t homeschool.  I’ve worked to make this blog about education in general but I’ve been no where near as successful as I had hoped I would be.

Mental & Emotional Health I had major high hopes for this blog but I just can’t seem to keep everything moving at a good pace.  If you have time, jump over there and say hello.

Media Critiques – I love to catch the media or celebrities in a jam and write about it but again, time is a gem and I’ve found little of it lately.

Don’t Eat That is a blog that I hope to use to promote my e-books and online classes.  This one is a bare blog now as it is a work in progress.  I’ve been given some great ideas from some folks and right now it is a matter of putting that information to good use.  I also hope to join the speaking circuit as well to promote some of my thoughts and ideas as well as my knowledge from writing online since 2001.

Blogalogues – this is a group venture that I am still working hard to get off the ground.  I hope that we can do a big party soon, and get this blog off the ground so that we can all start to make a little from it and we can enjoy the community itself.  The bloggers involved are Stacie from The Divine Miss Mommy writing about Building a Better Blog, Kim from Crafty Mama of 4 writing about Cooking – Feeding Your Family, Buck from Buck Daddy Blog writing about a Dad’s Eye View, Aaron from Father of the Blog writing more about being The Father of the Blog on our site, Lisa from Mom of 2 boys, Wife of 1 writing about Everything Employment and then she and Stacie plan to weave in another site that they operate known as The Product Review Place and add it into our site called Product Reviews.  And, finally, Beth from The Plus Size Mommy is going to be responsible for getting us info in a category known as Hodge Podge.  She will be able to just grab topics and run with them.  I am going to take submissions from anyone in the blogging world that wants to submit an article anonymously that they want published but don’t want to put on their own blog for fear of the backlash or possibly for people who do not have their own blog and I will also use the site to feature writers who want a specific post featured.  Stacie is going to run the ad network, Beth is going to run the twitter ID and we are hoping to move forward and soon.  The twitter ID is @blogalogues so don’t miss out.

I have plans to join my son’s school as the internet PTO person, or something of that nature.  We are still working out the kinks but basically we want to put out a newsletter that parents can opt-in to receive but we have to be careful with the portion of this regarding privacy.  I think I’ve managed a way to work this out, we will see next week when I get a chance to go to the school and chat with administrators.  As many of you know, I have a big voice when it comes to how my son’s school district is run and I’m surprised they even asked me to get involved.  Maybe it will help us all to see eye to eye better.

I work as a Virtual Assistant and I am about to take over a position with the company as the instructor and technical person and leave some of the blog writing to a few others.  I’m going to use this site as well as Don’t Eat That to promote my online teaching.  I am also responsible for working out some bookmarking issues with a few blogs from this company that I have yet to devote enough time to and it is showing in my performance.

And I write paid advertisements for about 4 companies, I do reviews for products from several companies (including my Frigidaire) and finally, I am the proud owner of some other domains that are dormant and I hope to get those moving at some point and time as well.  Look for more of me on Education Uncensored and Gadget Magnet.

In my down time, I’ve been to the following conferences:

January:  The Social Networking Conference in Miami where iDating was a huge sponsor but I was sent by Fuel My Blog.  I also broke my ankle/leg then if you remember.

February:  Blissdom where I learned so much and met so many wonderful people – I will forever be transformed.  I hope to attend this conference again in the future.

March:  Mom 2.0 Summit in Houston where I was sponsored in part by Trae from YouData.  I met more wonderful people there and I hope to attend this conference again next year.

May:  Florida Conference for Women where I worked as a volunteer as did my husband.  We enjoyed a little alone time and had more fun than we had experienced in quite some time.

May:  Atlanta Mashable Event where I spent time with a couple of people that I had never met and spend most of my time with Stacie which was awesome.

July:  Blogher  I am still reeling fresh off of this conference and it is here where I began to question the direction that I hope to take my blogging in the future.

And, as if I am going to have some down time, I am looking for sponsors for:

September:  Type A Mom Conference in Ashville North Carolina

October:  Blog World Expo in Las Vegas and IZEAFest in Orlando Florida

But, as I mentioned, I am in the process of restructuring some of my time, some of my priorities and looking to make some changes.  So, look for a post soon announcing the changes that I will be making and hopefully I can garner some support from you my loyal readers.
